Stayed at getaway the weekend of 08/12-08/14. It was simply amazing. Exactly what we needed to get away from the city and relax. We stayed on ladybird way cabin named DIXIE and she was well air conditioned and clean. We were a little sad that there was a fire ban in affect that weekend since we really wanted to grill but that’s out of their control. Responses are quick and friendly. Will definitely be back!

Very nice getaway, peaceful and quiet. Not many activities to do, which is totally the intention. There is a small trail on site. I would definitely bring card games next time. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances and utensils, some salt, pepper, and oil. No nearby restaurants and grocery, so make sure to bring food. Would definitely go back for another time.

Secluded location, comfortable cabins, great fire pit. My 6 year old daughter and I stayed one night, and it was perfect. We hiked the little trail, explored the grounds, built a fire, played card games, cooked dinner and breakfast (we brought groceries with us), and enjoyed relaxing. Customer service was great - we’ll be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. But unfortunately my son had threw up suddenly at night before bed in our cabin all over the bed and blankets. We were in a panic and didn’t know what to do, but lucky we contacted the office and they showed up right away and helped clean the mess and also gave us new blankets and sheets. We felt horrible. They were very understanding and kind about the situation. I was compelled to leave a good review about the excellent customer service we received. We had a great and fun experience, thank you Getaway House staff!

I had so much fun staying here! It was so peaceful out there. I felt comfortable staying as a solo woman. Shoutout to Joseph, one of the maintenance, a piece wasn’t secured when I got an oil change the day prior & it started to drag. He took the time to help me remove it & was a really caring guy. I’ll definitely be back
